The First Anniversary Celebration – May 14, 2004

The first year celebration was held on a beautiful day and all who attended seemed to have an enjoyable time. Highlights included: Children’s procession with peace signs written in different languages; Aztec Dancers, Interfaith Ceremony; Resolutions presented by State, County and City officials; Messages of Peace and an international art exhibit by youth.

Unveiling of Interfaith Bench – August 10, 2005

Leaders from the Bahá’í, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Scientology, Self-Realization Fellowship, Sikh, Unitarian-Universalist and Unity faiths unveiled their new bench in the Garden. They came together to “celebrate the need for religious peace, tolerance, understanding and unity.”

Unveiling of Arbor and Benches at the Hmong Celebration – June 14, 2003

The California Hmong community worked together to raise funds to dedicate an entrance arbor and two benches. Sacramento officials joining in the celebration were County Supervisor Roger Dickinson, Mayor Heather Fargo and City Councilmember Dave Jones. Also present were IWPRG Co-Creators, TJ David and Sylvia Villalobos & Ter Fong Yang, Chairman of the Hmong Project, Hmong Freedom Fighters and their families, community members.
