Sara at the “I HAVE A DREAM” World Peace Rose Garden 26th Anniversary Celebration, Atlanta, GA

Sara and her Mom talk about their experiences at the 26th Anniversary Celebration of the “I HAVE A DREAM” World Peace Rose Garden at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park, Atlanta, GA. (MLK-NHP). Sara read her poem in the sanctuary where Dr. King preached from in the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church. She unveiled her poem on a plaque the garden and participated in all the festivities. This year over 3,000 youth from Atlanta, California, Washington, DC, Gaza, India, and China wrote poems expressing the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mrs. Coretta Scott King or an aspect of peace. The (MLK-NHP) receives over 1.5 million visitors annually to the site where Dr. King was born, grew up, worked, preached and laid to rest in a tomb across from the garden at the King Center. The program is a partnership with International World Peace Rose Gardens a non-profit organization and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park, Atlanta, GA. USA
